This popular event returns to At-Bristol with some excellent physics talks suitable for all the family and, new this year, hands-on workshops too. The 4 talks are: The Magic of Bubbles, The Science of Star Wars, The Human Body is the Ultimate Physics Laboratory & Physics for All.

The 3 workshops are: Physics Demonstrations for STEM Volunteers, Physics Experiments for Everyone! & The Egg-cellent adventures of a Mars Lander. The event is free and everyone is welcome, you do not have to be an IOP member to attend.  The talks and workshops are suitable for ages 11 and older, children must be accompanied by an adult and school groups are welcome by prior arrangment. Talks do not require booking, but workshops do.

Course focus...
A day of talks & practical workshops for everyone teaching physics. The workshops will be run by members of the IOP Physics Teachers Network and have all received good reviews from teachers of physics. Sessions will be suitable for those new to physics as well as experienced teachers and technicians and will concentrate on ideas that you can use in your labs. Plus a variety of resource stands and networking opportunities over lunchtime.
