Ever Wondered Why?

Stimulating Physics Network Schools, receiving support from a Teaching and Learning Coach, also have the opportunity to receive a visit from the “Ever Wondered Why?” PHYSX van. Our roving Roadshow coordinator offers a programme of stimulating, engaging and interactive sessions to two different year groups (KS3, 4 or 5) per visit. Each session can be adapted to meet the needs of each school and will be accompanied by preparation lessons and follow-up activities. Designed to enthuse students about physics and the world around them, the shows work with group sizes of 10–300. They cover a range of topics, from the size of the universe to optical illusions, and low-temperature physics to how CERN works – all with the aim of persuading pupils that physics is an important and valuable part of what they study at school and beyond.

To arrange a Roadshow visit to your school, please contact your regional Stimulating Physics Network representative via the regions page.
